Summer Camps

Thank you to Emerald & Forgotten Coast Adventures Inc for inviting us give your students a taste of our work!

Education is a key component of the FPMI mission, and we always appreciate partnerships that allow us to fulfill it with so much fun!

The summer campers had an incredible opportunity to meet with the Florida Panhandle Marine Institute team and dive into the world of marine science!

During their visit, campers participated in a mock stranding response activity for both a sea turtle and a marine mammal, gaining hands-on experience in wildlife rescue procedures. They also learned fascinating facts about proper wildlife handling, who to contact when a marine animal is stranded, and the career paths that led marine science professionals to their field.

It was an educational and inspiring experience that gave our campers a deeper appreciation for marine conservation and the people dedicated to protecting our coastal wildlife.
